Bittersweet cider apple. From the Normandy region of France.
Makes a highly aromatic deep amber juice that is plenty bitter but also sweet and mellow. Rich and earthy with an astringent finish. (SG 1.056, acidity 0.19%, tannin 0.25%) A traditional bitter component of rustic Brittany-style cider (cidre Breton) and also suitable for a single varietal.
Medium-sized flattened fruit is golden-yellow with bright red blush.
