20 × 20' Chance seedling named for Walter Adams, president of Adams Nursery in Westfield, MA, 1947. 

Adams is one of the older persistent varieties that no ornithologist should be without. Deep pink buds and deep clear red-pink single flowers. The birds will love the abundant 5/8" dark red persistent fruit. Rounded tree form with reddish-tinged leaves. Orange-red fall foliage. Excellent disease resistance. Z4.
