Moderate yields of medium-to-large berries. Great pollinator for other varieties.
Bright red berries are wicked tart until dead ripe in late summer when they develop their excellent flavor, richer and less astringent than bog cranberries. Can be munched fresh but best in sauces, jams, syrups, fruit leathers, juices and wines. Stores up to 2 months in the fridge.
Spreading groundcover with shiny green leaves. Prefers poor acidic soil and full sun. Plant more than one variety, 12–18" apart, for good pollination and fruit set. PPA. Zone 2.
