Malus spp. Fall. Originated in the Soviet Union, added to the USDA’s collection in Geneva, NY, in 1987.
Very unusual small roundish-ovate crabapple with a long thin stem. Excellent fresh eating with a flavor reminiscent of almond extract. One of our best finds while touring and tasting our way through the Geneva collection back in September 2018.
Trees are vigorous and precocious. Midseason blooms. Z4. Maine Grown. (Standard: 3-6' bare-root trees)
