Mesabi Pie Cherry

Mesabi Pie Cherry

Prunus cerasus Summer. Bing × chance seedling. Duluth, MN, 1964.

Red skin and lighter red flesh with clear juice. Bing parentage makes it sweeter than other Montmorency types. Recommended for sauce and pies.

We became very curious about Mesabi when we heard reports of 20-year-old trees in Maine remaining healthy and productive. Our tree has shown no dieback and is quite productive. It has also remained entirely disease free. Naturally dwarf-sized tree will grow to about 10–14'. Z4. Maine Grown. Indigenous Royalties. (2½-6' bare-root trees)
