Clusters of dazzling trumpeted pink-orange flowers with yellow throats on this hardy vine bloom from spring through late fall, as late as November in central Maine. This might be the number one favorite plant of the hummingbird in our gardens. Pollinated flowers will yield red berries in late summer.

Prefers well-drained soil, full sun to part shade, and a trellis to twist and climb over. Left untrellised, it will mound and form a thick dome that the birds use as a nesting site, per our trials.
