Open pollinated.
Perennial to Zone 4. Strong 2–4' arching stems dance with airy flattened seedheads. Lovely in arrangements from June through fall, after which its bamboo-like foliage changes from green to a rich brown for winter contrast. The dried seedheads make interesting accents in handmade paper. Likes moist conditions, tolerates part shade and is a lighter green when grown in full sun. Native to North America. About 260 seeds/g.
