As the name suggests, this is more vivid and showy than your average plum tree, and the fruit is great, too. Large dark red plums have deep red flesh and rich flavor—juicy, sweet and mildly tart. Freestone, good for processing and canning.
Naturally rounded, semi-dwarf trees dazzle with abundant pink blossoms and deep purple foliage. Plant at least one other variety of Japanese or hybrid plum for fruit. Zone 4.
