Annual. Profuse blooms in pink, blue and white shades surrounded by a cloud of greenery make lovely bouquets. Seed heads are used dried and are especially nice with a little bit of the flower attached. Direct seed as soon as ground can be worked, or sow indoors in a cool spot 2 months prior to setting out. Plant in full sun. 18". ~760 seeds/g.

Love-in-a-Mist

Annual. Everlasting grown especially for its spiky decorative seed pods. Germinates in 10–14 days at 60°. Grow on at 60–65°. Set transplants 6–9" apart.

Saving Flower Seeds Is Easy!

Almost all the flowers we list are open- pollinated and easy to save seed from. Some types cross readily, but who cares! Save the seeds, plant them, and be surprised.

These flowers are especially easy to save seed from: bachelor’s buttons, calendula, cerinthe, cosmos, love-in-a- mist (nigella), nasturtium, poppy, strawflower, sunflower, sweet pea and tithonia.
