Plant 1" apart for maximum color splash. Bulbous irises prefer dry soils when dormant in summer. Plant in sun or dappled shade with moderately fertile well-drained soil.
The dwarf iris provide bursts of color very early, for the lawn, border or rock garden. Robust and hardy, they spread once established. Also good for forcing. Short leaves at flowering, later grow to 10-12".
