Annual. Cheery cup-shaped silky blooms range from light orange to deep rust, opening their faces to the sun each morning and closing up again at night. Finely cut glaucous blue-green foliage on 12–18" tall plants. Low maintenance, with blooms from early summer into early fall, sometimes taking a break during heat waves.

Almost all the flowers we list are open- pollinated and easy to save seed from. Some types cross readily, but who cares! Save the seeds, plant them, and be surprised.
These flowers are especially easy to save seed from: bachelor’s buttons, calendula, cerinthe, cosmos, love-in-a- mist (nigella), nasturtium, poppy, strawflower, sunflower, sweet pea and tithonia.
