10' x same. ‘Alba Virginalis’ x open-pollinated. John Dunbar intro, Rochester, NY, 1916.
Covered with smallish clusters of exceptionally fragrant single light lavender-blue blooms. An absolutely outstanding lilac. Blooms early and quits late.
Blue lilacs are rare and Lincoln is blue. A few newer blue cultivars have been introduced, but President Lincoln remains at the top of the heap. Given a chance it will spread from suckers to form a massive shrub. Z3.
