White skin.
Known for having more of a kick than most softnecks, this is not your grocery-store garlic.
Warming and flavorful, this garlic produces large bulbs that thrive in hot climates; also acclimated to cooler sites. 12–18 cloves per bulb; white outer wrappers sometimes with purple streaking. Braidable, with a very long shelf life.
Brought from Sicily to Washington state by the Lorz family in the late 19th century.
Softneck variety. Zone 4–9.
