Prunus domestica
Late summer, deep purple skin, greenish yellow flesh.

Imperial Epineuse x Grand Duke. Vineland Stn, Ontario, 1967.

An excellent all-purpose large semi-freestone fruit with purple-blue speckled skin and greenish-yellow flesh. Best for fresh eating but, like the others, also good dried or canned.

In our central Maine trials, this plum has been productive, high quality, cold hardy and resistant to bacterial leaf spot. Ripens a bit after Stanley, in late September or early October. Benefits from a second European plum variety for pollination. Z4.
