Peach
Prunus persica Late. Fruit Acres intro, Coloma, MI. A newer white-fleshed release from the Stellar Peach breeding program in Michigan, late 1990s. Very good fresh eating. The flesh is white, tinged with pink, turning red at the pit. Completely freestone and non-browning when cut. Ripens about 20 days after Redhaven. Tree is hardy, open-growing and resistant to bacterial spot. Doing well in our Maine orchards and worth trialing in much of the Northeast. Z4/5. (3–6' bare-root trees)
