‘Viking’ Black Chokeberry

Aronia melanocarpa 4-6' x same. Introduced in Sweden.

Upright vigorous high-yielding shrub produces very large dark tasty berries. Genetic testing has shown Viking to actually be a hybrid cross of A. melanocarpa and European Mountain-ash (Sorbus aucuparia).

Species native to eastern U.S. Z3/4. (1-3' bare-root plants)
