Skeena Sweet Cherry

Skeena Sweet Cherry

Prunus avium Late Summer. 2N-60-7 (Van x Stella) x 2N-38-22 (Bing x Stella). Summerland Res & Dev Ctr, BC, Canada, 1984.

High-quality firm large round dark red-black skin and deep red flesh, sweet with a sharp balance to the flavor. Can become a bit soft after several hot days but is resistant to cracking. Ripens about two weeks after Van (which we’ve offered in the past). Self-pollinating like its parent Stella and produces consistent yields even as a lone tree. Will pollinate other cherries. Z4/5. (2½-6' grafted bare-root trees)
