Bright red glossy nutritious fruits are slightly smaller than lowbush blueberries. Tart until dead ripe, then has excellent flavor, richer and less astringent than cranberries.
Very adaptable, produces large berries. Somewhat lower yielding, but standard in commercial production as an excellent pollinator.
