Soft yellow semi-double blooms open very white revealing a decked-out center of large stunning glowing golden stamens. A real bee magnet. Buds are creamy yellow at the base topped with a splash of red-pink. Repeat bloomer. Tidy leaves are outlined in red along the serrations. Compact upright dense shrub form, one of the best of the hardy whites that won’t sucker. Deep green foliage seems to be trouble-free. Named after the Canadian jazz pianist and composer.
