Salix20' tall. Species unknown. Original cuttings came from the Seed Swap and Scion Exchange at MOFGA many years ago. It grows tall and straight, with minimal branching, so is good for making baskets. The bark is green to light brown. The catkins are small and not very ornamental though the cut stems look quite elegant in a vase at peak catkin stage. Even though this one is a bit of a mystery, we couldn’t resist propagating it. For all those basketmakers out there, this one’s for you. Keep it whacked back so it can re-sprout within reach. Z4, at least. Maine Grown. (1–2' plugs)
