An old variety, offered by Henderson in 1902 for a dime per packet. 4" tall, great for edgings, walks and borders. Named for the Flemish botanist Mathias de l’Obel who was a physician to King James I of England. Needs light to germinate. Tolerates some shade. Cannot stand frost. Perennial in Zones 9-10, grown as an annual. ~30,000 seeds/g. ②
